Stoke-on-Trent's premier live music venue and night club since 1994.

The Sugarmill is situated at the bottom of Brunswick Street in the heart of the Cultural Quarter of Hanley, the city centre of Stoke-on-Trent – we’re right next to the Stage Door pub and opposite Fiction nightclub.
We’ve hosted literally hundreds and hundreds of bands over the years, many of whom have gone on to massive success, examples include; Coldplay, Muse, Elbow, Daft Punk, Stereophonics, A Day to Remember, The 1975, The National, Maximo Park, Kasabian, Lamb of God, Biffy Clyro, Catfish and The Bottlemen, Trivium, Bring Me The Horizon, Foals, You Me at Six, Glassjaw, Editors and The Libertines to name just a few.
We actively promote the local band scene and also try and bring some of the bigger names back to the city to play at The Victoria Hall and Keele University.
We’re open every Friday for our ELECTRIC FRIDAY club night, which is the longest running alternative club night in Staffordshire. We host an all-nighter until 6am the last Friday of every month.
We also host THE MOVE on occasional Saturdays and every Bank Holiday Sunday, a club night which brings you the biggest names in international house music.
Our club nights are open to over 18s only, all our shows (unless stated otherwise) are open to over 14s.

We at The Sugarmill do our best to meet the needs of our disabled customers, however customers should be aware that due to the limitations of our building we do not have disabled toilet facilities, or lifts to access the balcony and roof areas.

If you are a wheelchair user, or need a seat to be provided, please make yourself known to a member of our door team on arrival, and they will escort you to our wheelchair accessible entrance and to our viewing area. In the event of an emergency, the viewing area is also our wheelchair refuge. Our team will assist you in the event of an evacuation.

The viewing area is located next to the bar, but should you need any assistance, please ask our team. Due to the limited space in this area, unfortunately we can only allow you to be accompanied by one extra person.

If you are visually impaired and have trouble reading our price lists, or viewing our available products, please ask a member of staff for assistance and they will happily help you.

The front entrance to the building has just the one small step.

All staircases in our building are fitted with handrails.

There are disabled public toilets at the top of the road on Stafford Street which are fitted with a RADAR lock.

The nearest disabled parking is at the side of the building on Gitana Street.
